Dee Tobias, General Manager If Yours Truly ever decided to make pizza a menu item, Dee Tobias would be a great manager to help inspire it! Before coming to YT in 2001, Dee managed a Domino’s for eleven years and a Pizza Hut for two years after that. Dee loves the restaurant business and was excited to bring her experience and skills to Yours Truly. Dee grew up in Ashtabula and graduated from Ashtabula High School. After High School, she attended Hocking Technical College where she studied Accounting and nursing. The Tobias family has a St. Bernard named Destiny, which keeps them busy and entertained. Dee enjoys spending her free time with her family and going to the park for hikes. Dee enjoys learning about and collecting dolphins. Dee’s favorite part about working at YT is working so closely with the public. “I love talking with the guests and being around so many people. The Yours Truly staff and guests are like a close knit family.” Dee explains, “ The atmosphere is so enjoyable to work in and everyone remembers to have fun!” Dee was so popular with the YT staff in Shaker Square that when she went to Mayfield to finish her training, the entire staff signed a petition asking for her return. Dee’s favorite YT menu item is the Burger Lite. Her daughter is an aspiring model and her son serves in the Marine Corps. With her goal to become a General Manager under her belt, she has her sights set on the future: "I would like the opportunity to open a new YT location and make it grow to be as successful as all the others." If you hear singing in the kitchen while dining at Yours Truly, chances are Eric Brown Harris is cooking too. Eric, a gospel singer, says his Yours Truly management job allows him to combine his two favorite hobbies: singing and cooking. Eric grew up in Alabama and attended Alabama A & M where he majored in music and communications. Now most of his family lives in the Cleveland area, a place he calls, “a small big city.” He’s a sports fanatic (“Sports should be my middle name,” he says) who favors the Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Daring Eric even brought a Pittsburgh Steelers stadium blanket to a management meeting before the Browns versus Steelers game! In the NBA, Eric is the ultimate fair weather fan, rooting for whatever team is doing well. Eric began his career at Yours Truly as a dishwasher nearly ten years ago. He says, “Working here is fun. You have a good time, and it’s always a challenge. I like challenges.” His ultimate goal? To open a soul food family style restaurant someday. Until then, he’s enjoying his job at Shaker Square and making sure that his favorite menu item – the Sunrise – is served with a smile. Wanda Jarema brings a wealth of hospitality experience to her position at Yours Truly, working for Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, Sammy’s and Cuisines, just to name a few. She’s worked for independently owned restaurants and large corporations. Why did she choose Yours Truly to continue her career? “YT is a well-managed successful business, yet, it is small enough to be concerned about each employee as an individual.” Wanda adds, “They care enough to hire and keep the very best.” Wanda says she believes in the importance of staying fit. “I enjoy working out, which is a really good thing, since I also really enjoy food and entertaining,” she says. As for food at YT, she favors grilled chicken breast on the Greek or Caesar salads or with Asian Veggies. A native of Alabama, Wanda lived in four different states before she was 10 years old!
