Michael Dehner, General Manager Willowick resident Michael Dehner has worked in restaurants since he was old enough to get a job. He began as a dishwasher at Potpourri Fondue Restaurant in his hometown Mentor, then took a job as a line cook at John Palmer’s in Chardon, where he studied with a Culinary Institute of America graduate. “I really got creative there,” says Michael. As a college student at Ohio University, he interned at Willoughby Brewing Company. In 2003, he earned a degree in human and consumer sciences with a business minor. Michael aspires to own a fine dining establishment one day. After a brief stint at Olive Garden, Michael says he chose to work at Yours Truly Restaurants upon meeting a YT general manager and befriending YT partner Darlene Shibley Ziegenhagen. “I thought it would be a great place to work!” Michael is a big Michigan Wolverines fan and enjoys rock climbing (you can find him climbing rocks in his spare time at places like Cleveland Rock Gym, Seneca Rocks and Pepsi Rock). The multi-talented Michael also plays the saxophone. A Jr. Club Burger with Mushrooms is Michael’s favorite YT item to eat. Omelets – “I make them nice & fluffy” – are his favorite items to cook. And to the envy of his co-workers, Michael admits that he can eat and eat and never gain weight. Justin McDannel, a graduate of the esteemed Johnson & Wales University in Denver, a leader in culinary education, loves the fast pace of Yours Truly. He brings culinary experience from Blue Snapper Grill and Le Bistro du Beaujolais. A native of Berea, Ohio, it’s no surprise that he’s a Cleveland Browns fan. He also cheers on the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Cavs, and the Indians. Justin enjoys cooking, traveling and golfing, especially those early summer morning tee times. At work, the YT Medley and yogurt parfait are two of his favorite items. His credo is “You learn something new every day.” If you hear singing in the kitchen while dining at Yours Truly, chances are Eric Brown Harris is cooking too. Eric, a gospel singer, says his Yours Truly management job allows him to combine his two favorite hobbies: singing and cooking. Eric grew up in He’s a sports fanatic (“Sports should be my middle name,” he says) who favors the Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Daring Eric even brought a Pittsburgh Steelers stadium blanket to a management meeting before the Browns versus Steelers game! In the NBA, Eric is the ultimate fair weather fan, rooting for whatever team is doing well. Eric began his career at Yours Truly as a dishwasher over a decade ago. He says, “Working here is fun. You have a good time, and it’s always a challenge. I like challenges.”
