David Schmidt, General Manager David began his Yours Truly career at the age of nineteen in February of ‘89 as a dishwasher in the Mayfield Village location. He worked his way up the ladder and nine months later was promoted to manager. David married his wife Gina in 1993. The pair met and worked together in Mayfield Village. They have four sons. When David is not busy with “friends” (a term he uses instead of co-workers) he enjoys gardening, aquariums, and spending time with his family. David says, “Working for Yours Truly allows me the unique opportunity of managing an experience - one where both guests and employees alike are happy and satisfied.“ Jennifer, a former Marriott employee, gave up the perk of discounted travel, but she says she gained “better hours and more opportunities” when she joined Yours Truly. “The other managers are just great and so is the staff,” she says. Jennifer says employees love to play practical jokes on her. “Once, a line cook called me and pretended he was a guest that wanted to purchase sliced mozzarella. I apologized and told him we only had shredded mozzarella, but he gave me a hard time. Finally, I heard the rest of the staff laughing and knew it was a prank,” says Jennifer. Born in Jefferson City, Missouri, Jennifer lived in Cincinnati briefly before settling in Mentor, where she graduated from Mentor High School. She’s a graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she majored in Hotel and Restaurant management. She currently lives with two dogs – a beagle named Bailey (like the liquor) and a German shepherd named Bud (yep, like the beer). She is a competitive trap shooter, winning money and trophies for her victories. She was a member of Ohio’s Trap Shooting team and has traveled all over the country for competitions. Jennifer also enjoys camping and hiking. While working for Marriott she traveled often, including a trip to Maui, which she says was the one of the nicest places she’s ever visited. This avid mystery and suspense reader (James Patterson books are a favorite!) is also a big college basketball fan (go U Conn!). Though Doug Lieblich managed food and beverage services for seventeen years at Walden Country Club, he never actually cooked anything in a restaurant until he came to Yours Truly. He quickly mastered that skill and is admired by YT employees for his ability to stay calm in the busiest of times. In fact, Doug’s best references are the people who worked for him over the years. “I like the pace, the quality products and the people at Yours Truly,” says Doug. Doug grew up in Shaker Heights, and has been a Yours Truly patron since it opened. “I was a regular as a teen,” shares Doug. He also fondly remembers bringing his daughter, Jenna, to YT before Father Daughter Girl Scout dances. Until he worked at YT, he always ordered a Bleu Cheese Burger, but now he’s expanded his palate. “I like everything, especially the lighter dishes, like chicken and tuna salad,” says Doug. Eagle Scout Doug enjoys camping and photography. In fact, he often combines both hobbies on treks throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. “I like to see things off the beaten path,” admits Doug, who often takes along his dog, Lance. Before Sharon Leone came to Yours Truly she was a banquet/picnic manager at Progressive Field, home to the Cleveland Indians. Sharon says she came to Yours Truly for “great food and a friendly ‘Cheers’ type atmosphere.” Watching the face of a child light up when he received his kids pancake order in the shape of a famous mouse is one of her favorite YT moments. Family is very important to Sharon and she enjoys spending her free time doting on her nieces and nephew. A former east sider, Sharon moved to the west side to be closer to family. Sharon enjoys cooking for friends and family, vacationing in tropical places (and hopes one day to open a beachfront restaurant!), reading, sketching, and attending Cleveland Indians games. Sharon has a Yorkipoo named Buddy, and turtles Flash and Xena. She credits her father for one of her favorite sayings, “Don’t panic.” “Take a deep breath and think about it, and it will be o.k.,” says Sharon. Sounds like good advice.
