Lawrence co-founded the first Yours Truly Restaurant with brothers Art and Jeffrey in 1981. Today he serves as president of both Yours Truly Restaurants and Shibley Management, a management and investment company. His primary focus is finance, real estate, store location and design. In his life before Yours Truly, Lawrence had broad experience in the food service industry prior to assuming the role of general manager of a Cleveland-area car dealership, where he gained a keen business insight.

Though Lawrence played a major role in the selection of the Yours Truly sites, he maintains that the success of Yours Truly is due to something more than selecting good locations. "It's truly the employees who make it happen. Guests feel welcome when they come into our restaurants, as if they were coming into our home," Lawrence explains. That same family philosophy is extended to managers and employees.

He is past president of the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Chagrin Valley Jaycees, the Chagrin Valley Sun Community Advisory Board, and was formerly on the Board of Advisors of The Ohio Bank.  His personal time is spent on family activities, running marathons, weight lifting, computers and golf.
