Shibley Management |

Vice PresidentJeffrey Shibley "Where you put your effort is where you get your results." Jeffrey worked his way through college by climbing the restaurant ladder from cook to assistant manager to general manager of the restaurant that would eventually become the first of the Yours Truly Restaurants. Upon graduating from John Carroll University with a degree in communications, Jeffrey moved to Atlanta to take a sales position, where it became apparent that his true calling was in the restaurant business. Soon he was dreaming of opening his own restaurant. He confided to his brother Lawrence that he could see himself at only two locations - Our Gang where he had worked in college, and a cozy diner he knew of in Chagrin Falls. Lawrence suggested Jeffrey inquire as to whether either restaurant was for sale, so Jeffrey contacted his former boss first and negotiations began that very night. Jeffrey says the owner was very supportive of the idea of a Shibley family business because of his experience working with all three Shibley brothers. "He had worked with me first-hand, but he'd also bought meat from Art during his days with Meyers Meats and cars from Larry during his car dealership days. I remember him saying that there was no one he'd rather see buy the business than the Shibley family," Jeffrey explains. The Beachwood building opened as the first Yours Truly Restaurant in 1981. The following year, the second Yours Truly Restaurant opened in Chagrin Falls at the other location Jeffrey had admired. Jeffrey currently serves on the boards of the Mentor Schools Foundation, Mentor Public Library, and Lake County Development Council. Jeffrey is a past member of the Executive Board of Trustees for the Greater Cleveland Better Business Bureau, Lake County Entrepreneurs Club, and the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. He has served as president of the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Jeffrey and his wife are the proud parents of two sons. |
