Jerry Wisniewski, General Manager One of the more unique resumes at Yours Truly belongs to General Manager Jerry Wisniewski. After growing up in Milwaukee, he attended the University of Wisconsin and majored in poultry science with an emphasis in Food Science. He has seventeen years of technical experience in food research including reformulating a cholesterol-free egg product and developing the Long Egg. What might the Long Egg be, you ask? Yes, we asked too! The Long Egg is an 18" long hard cooked egg used by commercial food services that provides lots and lots of nice big round slices of egg centers. In case you're worried about the poor chicken that has to lay the Long Egg, it's actually a manufactured product using many eggs at once. Jerry and his family came to Cleveland in 1985 when he took a job with Stouffer Foods. He reformulated the Stouffers Lasagna to be more microwaveable and customer-friendly, and also did the initial research on the Hearty Portions turkey and the meatloaf meals. As time went by, a change sounded good and Jerry decided to go to work for a restaurant. A newspaper ad lead him to Yours Truly and, after interviews and reading about the company at the library, he started work on November 21, 1995. Jerry's wife is a Registered Nurse at University Hospitals. Jerry and Barbara are the proud parents of two adult daughters. Jerry is a member of Toastmasters International since 1994. He's also a member of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese Pastoral Council and St. Clare Parish Pastoral Council. Roberta Sambenedetto YT is proud of its family attitude, but would you believe Roberta works with one of her very own children!? Her daughter, Nicole, is also a manager at YT. Roberta also has two sons. Before joining the YT team in 1999, she worked for Chi-Chi’s Mexican restaurants and several downtown Cleveland hotels.
She
admits she is a compulsive gardener and home
remodeler in her spare time. She is a big collector of Wizard of Oz,
Thomas Kinkade and Elvis Presley memorabilia. Roberta states, “The word family really means something in this company. You always feel supported and trusted and that is not easy to come by.” Mauro "Mo" DiVieste has been in the restaurant business his entire life. Prior to coming to YT in 2007, he worked at a banquet hall and Italian restaurant owned by his family in Warren, Ohio. That same family atmosphere exists at YT, according to Mauro. His long-term goal is to work his way up in management at YT. He attended The Ohio State University and holds degrees in business and sociology from Youngstown State University. Fall is Mauro’s favorite season. “The leaves are changing and it’s football season,” he says. A huge Buckeyes fan, Mauro says if he could trade jobs with anyone, he’d pick Ohio State Coach Jim Tressel. In addition to football, he enjoys golf and racquetball. Mauro loves movies, including The Godfather and Rocky. He also likes to read and recommends a recent read, Setting the Table: The Transforming Power of Hospitality in Business. His favorite vacation spot is the Florida Keys and, he hopes to some day visit Hawaii. When he’s not vacationing, Mauro resides in Warren along with his two pet boxers.
